What We Love About Laredo
Laredo is a city in southern Texas located near the north bank of the Rio Grande. It is known for being the county seat of Webb County and is home to more than 260,000 residents. This city’s main economy is from international trade with Mexico. Don Tomas Sanchez built a villa and founded the area in 1755. Today, this city is the largest inland port on the Mexican and U.S. border. The city flies seven flags, which include the Six Flags of Texas as well as the Flag of the Republic of Rio Grande. In 2020, Laredo celebrated its 265th anniversary as well as the 180th anniversary of the Republic of the Rio Grande. This city is full of history, culture, entertainment, and welcoming people.
